Any Image, design or logo can be etched into stone and many other materials. If you don't know the exact image yet, we are ready to help locate, select or design custom artwork for your laser etchings. Let us know what your project calls for and we will find multiple image ideas for you to consider.
Choose a Size: Our laser etchings can be done on standard 12"x12" stone tiles, or custom cut slab materials at most any size. Using various materials we produce etchings to fit any needs; it just depends on your project needs and product selection.
Determine the Material: Most popular are our laser etchings on polished Black Granite and Black Marble. Additionally Dynamic etches on Travertine, Slate, Wood, Acrylic, Glass, Anodized Aluminium, and many other materials.
Colour or Black & White: For clients that prefer colorized etchings Dynamic Laser Image Inc. can colour stain our stone laser etchings. By hand infusing colour into the stone, we are actually penetrating the pores to provide a permanent and rich full color etching. Once completed all pieces are sealed to protect them from staining.
Not all etchings or all materials can be coloured, for answers to specific project questions please contact us.
Delivery: We deliver to the Vancouver Island and the lower Mainland - Vancouver Area. Smaller pieces can be sent UPS ground or bus unless otherwise requested, while larger pieces are securely shipped within a custom built crate and sent by standard freight.
Installation:
Our pieces are prepared and shipped out ready for permanent or non- permanent installation. Permanent installs are completed just as traditional stone tile and slab materials.
Although Dynamic Laser does not handle most installations, we are happy to answer any questions you or your installer may have. We also work with several glass and stone professionals who could assist in your installation.
For clients that prefer the laser etchings prepared for non-permanent wall hanging, Dynamic Laser Image Inc. has developed several simple techniques for hanging and supporting all etchings. Although stone etchings can become rather heavy, our mounting procedure allows for incredibly secure and simple hanging on most any surface.
An Example of a Etching Project:
A digital photo of the customers view that they want as a glass backsplash behind the stove.
The goal was to create a kind of serigraph type picture.
A computer generated image from the digital picture. Note the houses at the bottom of the picture have been removed.
A processed version of the image reversed because it will be etched from the back of the glass and inverted because the laser will etch only the dark areas.
In this case, a piece of tempered glass has been ordered and back painted in preperation for etching.
The file is sent to the laser, the material is postioned, all power and speed levels are set and the file is run.
When the laser is finished, the piece is cleaned and inspected ready for installation.
